Easier cot sheet changes
My darling son was a reflux baby. We spent his first six months covered in regurgitated milk. And it wasn’t just us… the lounge, the carpet, our bed, his cot. My laundry room has never seen so much washing. What I hated most was him vomiting in his cot. Apart from being a panicky first time mum, I hated stumbling around in the dark looking for sheets, raising up the mattress, getting it all set up and then trying to get him back to sleep. It was exhausting.
If you’ve ever had to change cot sheets at 3am, you’ll love this simple hack.
When making up the mattress, layer up like this:
1. mattress protector
2. sheet
3. mattress protector
4. sheet
When a reflux baby (or toilet training toddler) has an accident, just pull off one layer of sheet and protector. Your next layer is ready to go.
You’ll save yourself stumbling around in the dark looking for linen and pulling up the mattress, and you can get your child (and yourself) back to bed quicker. Easier cot sheet changes are possible!
